Dayshia believes healing is a journey of liberation from the systems, beliefs, and relationships that no longer serve us. Called to the counseling profession from a young age, she has spent the past 10 years supporting clients as they navigate trauma, life transitions, and the pursuit of greater balance and wholeness. Passionate about both innovative and ancestral healing approaches, Dayshia views recovery as a winding road and considers it a privilege to walk alongside clients through the peaks and valleys of that process.
Dayshia Says…
“I bring a warm, grounding, and energetic style to psychotherapy. I believe people have an innate capacity to heal when they are met with compassion, practical tools, and nonjudgmental guidance. My goal is to empower clients with the knowledge, skills, and support needed to reconnect with their inner wisdom and move toward lasting wellness.
I take a holistic approach to therapy, considering each person’s mind, body, spirit, culture, community, and environment when developing an individualized path toward healing. My work is grounded in culturally responsive, trauma-informed care and draws primarily from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), depth psychology, and transpersonal psychotherapy. As a trained ecotherapist, I also have the unique ability to facilitate therapeutic experiences in nature, bringing the healing process beyond the traditional office setting.
I enjoy working with individuals navigating shame, trauma, attachment wounds, intimacy concerns, creative expression, sexuality, identity, and spirituality. Clients can expect a space where they feel seen, validated, and supported while learning practical skills for emotional well-being and exploring the deeper patterns that shape their lives.”
If you’re looking for a place where all of your gifts are seen and you’re ready to embark on an adventure towards greater balance in your life, I would be honored to work with you. Book now to get started!
Dayshia's Modalities
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) helps people build practical skills to manage emotions, cope with stress, improve relationships, and stay present in the moment. It focuses on finding balance between accepting yourself as you are and making positive changes that support your well-being and goals.
Mindfulness-Based (MBCT)
Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) helps people become more aware of their thoughts, feelings, and reactions in everyday life. Through mindfulness and practical coping skills, it teaches you how to step back from unhelpful thought patterns, reduce stress, and respond to challenges with greater clarity and balance.
Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy
Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy combines guided therapeutic support with psychedelic medicine to deepen self-awareness and emotional insight. It can help individuals process trauma, shift perspectives, and support meaningful psychological change.
Ecotherapy
Ecotherapy is a nature-based approach to healing that recognizes the deep connection between personal well-being and the natural world. By engaging with nature as part of the therapeutic process, clients can cultivate grounding, insight, balance, and a greater sense of connection. This approach can be especially supportive for those seeking healing from stress, trauma, life transitions, and disconnection.
Integrative/holistic Psychotherapy
Integrative Holistic Psychotherapy is an approach that addresses the whole person by considering the interconnectedness of the mind, body, emotions, relationships, culture, and spirit. It draws from a variety of evidence-based and experiential approaches to meet each client’s unique needs. This individualized approach supports deeper healing, self-understanding, and lasting personal growth.
Culturally Informed Therapy
Culturally informed therapy recognizes that our identities, backgrounds, communities, and lived experiences shape how we understand ourselves and navigate the world. This approach honors the impact of culture, systemic influences, and personal history while creating a therapeutic space where clients feel seen, respected, and understood.
